HOPE

This morning I was feeling really sad and discouraged....

Enter my daughter Makenna who walked by humming, "We Thank Thee Oh God For A Prophet." And the phrase that ran through my mind was, "When dark clouds of trouble hang oer us. And threaten our peace to destroy. There is hope smiling brightly before us. And we know that deliverence is nigh."

I guess that is what I need to focus on- HOPE! Even when there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel, there is always HOPE.

  2. Christina,
I want you to know I have felt what you feel. Probably for different reasons, but I've felt it. I discovered Heavenly Father sends us those minute flashes of hope to help us endure--passages of scripture that speak to us, a friend saying the right thing, a daughter humming a hymn, a sister or parent or husband giving unconditional love and support. It doesn't solve the problem, but it does allow us to recognize the hand of the Lord in our lives. I think I was more aware of it more at that time in my life than in any other. I am grateful for what I learned, but I think it's okay to say I hope I never have to experience it again:-)

  4. I think you are an amazing person, and you are so much stronger than you think. Heavenly Father sent you one of His tender mercies just when you needed it most. I'm so glad we have His love to help us through the hard times. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
